    Hello everyone:

Can anyone help me identify these plants? Some are maples and some are plants that have maple-like leaves. All photos were taken in the trails of Burnaby Mountain.

Pictures 1-2-3-4: At first I thought this was a broadleaf maple, but the leaf-shape is different and it doesn't seem to have the trunk of a broadleaf maple. One of the leaves measure 40 cm / 16 inches across!

Pictures 5-6-7: Would this species be correctly identified as a broadleaf maple (acer macrophyllum)?

    Thank you very much!

    Jason
