Here is my question: I live in Middleboro, MA and I need to transplant a Dwarf Red Maple because I am adding a sun room to my property.
Will The Red Marple be okay in full sun and where it can get windy? If not, where is ther best spot(sun, shade) to put it?
    Thanks, Bob

Yes, part shade and out of wind is better for Japanese maples, where there might be a problem with summer heat or winter cold. If this is a laceleaf cultivar, shelter from icy winds in spring will be esp. desirable. I have seen the new growth of specimens placed in exposed positions burned even here in USDA 8.
