As we head for spring the Open Science Initiative (OSI) is pleased to publish Peter Gregory's Acer henryi Pax (1889) profile, with photographs by Hugh Angus. Henry's Maple is known for its unusual fall colors and rich green untoothed leaves. Although common in its native range, this versatile maple is rare in cultivation.

This is the next in our OSI series featuring Peter's maple profiles. Coming soon: von Siebold's Maple, Acer sieboldianum.
