The Maple Society OSI presents an article by Keith Johansson on growing maples in North Texas. Sure to be of interest to anyone growing maples in a hot climate, especially in the Southern US! Keith is the retired owner of Metro Maples (Metro Maples), past president the Maple Society North American Branch, recent recipient of the Peter Gregory Award, and all around Maple Maven. This article, which focuses on practical aspects of maple growing, first appeared in the Fall 2016 Maple Society Newsletter.

Acer truncatum, the Shantung Maple, is a excellent tree for hot climates.
