maple in trouble?

I hope my maple is not too far gone. Is it fugus or wilt?

The dark streaks in the stems and trunk are suggestive of verticillium or fusarium wilt but hard to tell without sending them to plant pathology lab. Unfortunately they always spell death when they show up in any of my maples. I hope I am wrong.
