I came across this one in a local nursery in the sale section this morning. An 8ft tall with no tag hence 'in sale section'. Still £100 though. It is a pretty Matsumurae group maple with some very delicate colours.
I've looked through my books and cannot ID it, any ideas ??

@dicky5ash, good evening R. No I didn't I'm afraid, I had a few PM's about it, but nobody could ID it. One of those that we may never know again, but as you say, lovely delicate colours. At least it's on the UBC now, so in future someone might recognise it. Nobody at the nursery new either, or were interested in looking at their stock records.
    Thanks for the reply R.

@dicky5ash At Brambridge Park Garden Centre near Otterbourne Hants, about 7 miles South of Winchester. Part of the blue diamond group.
It is pretty, but I would not pay £100 for it R.
I will get more photos of it soon to help ID.

I bought a ukigumo at Hampton court several years ago that was a standard but it was grafted low and was really pleased lower branches formed quickly..not keen on standards.

@dicky5ash, I love the Hampton court flower show, so much more room. than Chelsea which was a crush, even though we went very early.

Just taken a few more photos of the unidentified maple. Here they are.
Anway I had a long chat with the sales people about it and after they could not help me and I was interested in another maple, they gave it to me at half price, so well worth the visit. Actually they do know my wife and I quite well, as we have spent a lot of money there over the years.

    So any ideas ???

    'Bon Papa' ?... ^_^

Actually, I find the shape and colours of the leaves very similar.

@AlainK, Do you mean Mon Papa Alain ? If so I see your point on Autumn colours.
The leaves on the unknown are very small, I should have taken a ruler with me. My Mon Papa leaves are bigger.
    Thanks for the reply.

Good evening R, yes I double checked it. As you can see it's a real standard. The garden centre were more helpful this time going through their records, but still no joy.
Came away with a nice bargain though in Inaba Shidare, lol
