    All,

I have been lurking around here for quite some time. I didn't know that Maple has that many problems:
    - Verticillium
    - Scald (Sunburn)
    - Root rot
    ...

I live in Zone 9... hot summers althought we were pretty good last summer compare to people in Dallas or Mechigan.
My question is what do I have to do so that my maples will look good. I hate to lost trees after it has been with me for many years which I seen so many mature tree succumb to Verticillium in this forum. Anything... I can do to fence off that thing???

    Thanks,
    NamNhi

The most important thing you can do is to promote the overall health of the plants and there are many posts in this forum that are helpful for that. This is the best prevention against diseases.
There are also many threads on Verticilium, there is no known cure for it. If your soil is heavily infected with it, the best solution to enjoy these trees is to plant them in containers or raised beds.
