Ten years on the market — I am guessing that many of these foods are sold in Canada as well. I know that GM canola is grown here. I would not expect health problems from the type of modifications that have been done so far. Some of the work with pest resistance could increase the level of compounds that cause allergies for some. I am more concerned with potential ecological impacts at present. The industry does seem to be regulating itself, never the best option. I think stronger government controls may be needed.
