    Mango Tree Help
This Mango Tree is about 6 years old from what I have been told from the previous owners of the house.

It gave 4 Mango's last summer and none at all this year. Based on the pictures please give me advice on how to clean up and treat the tree so it will give fruit. There is a Mango tree in the yard next door that used to give tonssss of mangos then they cut it really bare and this season it only gave about 10 fruit. Does this have any connection with my tree?

Also, the drainage for the washer leads in that area right now, the water is well drained but keeps the area damp sometimes. Plus there is a sprinkler system. Is the soapy water harmful?

I finally have free time to straighten out my yard and I am new to gardening any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

    Thanks :-)

Well, most mangoes need a second tree to pollinate them, and they fruit on 1-year old wood. So, you're suffering from the haircut that your neighbor gave their tree. Tell them not to prune again; next year you should get a better crop.

Soapy water shouldn't hurt it any, so long as you're using a biodegradable low-phosphate soap in your washer.

Thank You!, i had a feeling it was something like that. I will tell them not to cut back this year so we can both get to take advantage of the fruit :)
