Malva - small pink purple volunteer flower

    this has appeared in a small container (maybe 2 liter size) fr nursery

    The plant i bought are some tigerlily that are taking it easy to say the least

    But this has come up and bloomed

    It’s approx 8 inch tall

    And the flower is approx diam of a Cdn loonie coin

    Looks like Malva, probably M. sylvestris

    Is this a perennial in Vancouver coast climate?

    Malva sylvestris grows to at least 4 feet in my garden (before it starts to tip over). It is perennial here but should be cut back hard at the end of the season. It self-seeds prolifically if allowed to go to seed.
