As the new leaf emerges from 3 of my majesty palms the tip is completly dryed out. The leaf keeps emerging until full grown but some leafs have over 12 inches of completly dead leaf on the end. It looks like dried grass. I have a number of other species of palms but this has only affected the majestys. I have seen the same problem through out the summer on different majesty palms all over town. I have asked the nursery but they have no idea.
    Thanks for your help
    Michael

How's your watering routine? Rich organic / humus type soils are best combined with regular waterings. Tap water is some areas can be alkaline and be partly to blame.

    Cheers, LPN.

The palms get regular watering and fertilizer about every 3 months. I have seen it on the same palms in various locations so I dont think it is soil realated.
    Thanks
