I have a Madagascar Palm (that I affectionately call Spike) that looks as if it has some type of fungus....the leaves have these spots of what appear to be dirt on them. I've attempted to clean them but it doesn't seem to change. The leaves then yellow and fall off....looks like the new growth leaves are suffering from the same afflication. Any ideas of how I can remedy this?

Maybe a systemic like Ortho's Orthonex would help. I use it on my unedibles to control pests and fungus infections like rust and black soot, or black mold...

I try to give mine a regular (every 6-8 weeks) spray with a systemic fungicide because of high humidity, keeps me a step ahead when it comes to any fungal problems esp. with these and my Adenium.
