I have garden envy from reading Texas garden blogs, I keep running into the beautiful Lycoris radiata (spider lily). Do anyone have success with these plants in the Pacific Northwest? Ha ha, are they even available here?

Bulbs were available at Gardenworks this Fall.

I've only seen Lycoris squamigera actually growing and flowering outdoors here.

We call them Magic Lily here in NJ because the grow leaves in early spring then die off and the lily appears mid summer with only a stalk!
