It is best to repot ever year or 2 to keep the roots from going round in circles at the bottom of the pot and to keep the media from degrading into mush that does not allow air into the soil which the roots must have. You do not have to increase the size of the pot, but if you do, don't increase more than a couple inches. If you do not increase size, you will need to do a little root pruning and then reduce the top to match.

When you do repot, use a media with lots of chunks like pine bark or CHC--use the search function at the top of the page and you will find many recipes for good fast draining media for citrus.
