This low-growing plant spreads out on the ground in a deciduous woodland area along a river in London, Ontario. This shot was taken today. Almost everything is dead in these woods but this plant is still green.

I was hunting for Euonymus obovata, which I understand is native to this area. I thought I might have found it but it didn't quite look right. I'll have to keep looking. Thank you for your help.

It looks like E. fortunei is an invasive species whereas E. obovatus is a native species. Thanks again for your help.
