Hi, I fell in love with this awesome lily at a local Garden Tour I attended. However, the owner's of this lily did not know the "name" of it! Can anyone ID it for me so I can get myself some??? ;> Thanks much, Andrea
Very hard to ID 100%, but try here: http://www.lilynook.mb.ca/ It's an Asiatic, so try those first. Other places are more 'generic' than the specialists at the Lily Nook, and might have specific or right names for the plants, but try here: http://www.brecksbulbs.ca/category/Lily
You could ask the gardener where she got the bulbs from. Or, if the plant itself is more important to you than its name you could ask her to give/sell you a bulb or two, it should not be a problem for her since Asiatic Lilies usually multiply very quickly.
Thanks for the leads! I'll check the links out to see what I can see! I remember the gardener telling me that this one was "special" and quite rare. But maybe all gardeners like to say that! I also remember being told that one evil gardener person had crept into their yard at night and tried to steal some of these lilies! Who ya' gonna believe! Chuckle! I am "hoping" to remember which garden on the tour housed these beauties!? Thanks, Andrea
