I walked past this plant at my university's library and couldn't resist the urge to ask the clerk if I could steal a few cuttings. She gave me scissors and I came home with these, shown in picture. However I have no idea what this plant is or what sort of care it needs. I have put the cuttings in water, in a clear glass jar and in reasonable but direct sunlight.

I would like an ID if anyone knows, and perhaps some advice on how to get it to form root (am I doing it right?) and what sort of light and soil it likes.

    Thanks!

Looks like the 'Ellen Danica' cultivar.
