i have completely forgotten what this plant is, i picked it up in July from Home Depot and promptly lost the tag. if someone could identify it for me, i'd be very happy. i'm trying to find information on fall care for all my new perennials and want to ensure that i take care of this particular plant the way it needs to be, as it seems to be very delicate....

the leaves are fuzzy, but i know it's not lamb's ear. i believe the tag said 'lady' something on it.... it did not flower this year, i don't think it flowers at all, i know i picked it up to fill a space in between my butterfly bush and my lavender. it was a spontaneous purchase, not something i went out specifically to find... i do remember that the tag said part/full sun.

Alchemilla mollis, Lady's Mantle, I think, but the leaves are a bit darker than I's expect.

Agree with nic. It will flower, and once it does it will seed around.

Having read your post properly, I'd say, yes, Lady's Mantle. It does flower, lime green and very useful in a vase with almost anything. Here, it seeds all over the place, and leans on its neighbours. Wouldn't be without it, though, but perhaps not quite so much of it. You can dry the flowers like everlastings.
