Good day all, I wonder if anyone could identify the attached for me please. After over an hour looking at images of weeds online I have not come across it yet. I am currently hand pulling to get as much of the root as possible but have a very large back yard and have patches that are over 10' x 10' and completely carpeted with them so hand pulling is not an option here. I would be interested if there is anything sold in Ontario that would work or I may just re-sod the affected areas. The weed is low lying, spreads with vines, has a yellow flower on a stalk about 4 - 5 inches tall and is a pain to remove. It's spreading faster than I can pull it so any assistance would be appreciated. Many thanks
I've never known what hawkweed is, but this looks like what I'm seeing for that. Yellow Hawkweed, Hieracium pratense. See http://www.msuturfweeds.net/details/_/yellow_hawkweed_25/
