I was in the Van Dusen garden taking photos.
There was a large Maple tree in fall (Yellow) color.
I took some photos of the leaves.
I fould out later that day that the tree was NOT a maple, but something else.
I forget what that something else was.

    Could someone refresh my memory?

It looked alot like the "regular" brad leaf type maple, NOT like those fancy Japanese.

    thanks

Could also be Platanus x hispanica - London Plane (aka Sycamore)

In the United States, the Sycamore is a Platanus, not Acer pseudoplatanus (The Sycamore in Europe) wazungy.

    Thanks

Wiki gives a good explanation of the confusion between acer, platanus and ficus.
