Wildflowers: looks like a strawberry plant

    The fruit are red when ripe, I haven't had a chance to look at them carefully, so do not know for certain if the seeds are carried on the outside surface of the fruit ( although it looks probable ) or if they are edible. Mountainous part of South Mindanao. Nearby farmers are growing large fruited, hybrid strawberries.

    With that many leaflets, it might be a Rubus.

    hehehe, yes indeed, most probably one of the Rubus Rosifolius group, the first plants I saw were compact and low growing, making me think strawberry !
