Trying to find a west coast supplier for mycorrhizal inoculum (root dip) suitable for bare root nut trees. Does anyone have any leads for a retailer of such a product? Although there are several in the USA, I'm worried that using an inoculum from a different bio-region will be totally ineffective. Thank you in advance for any leads you can provide.
West Coast Seeds has a product called Garden Combination Inoculant for peas and beans. Don't know if it would work for trees though.
Thanks anyway but the veggie innoculums are not suitable for bare root trees. I have sourced a local supply from Dinter Nursery in Duncan who was able to order it from their supplier in a large enough quantity for 50+ trees. I phoned nurseries far and wide in the lower mainland and no one even knew what I was talking about! Thank goodness for Dinter!
Rhora's Nut Farm on the Niagara Peninsula (not exactly local) has it and will happily mail it. I can't remember the address, so until I can dredge it up from memory try googling it. Carl
