My grandafather, Arthur Simmonds, propagated Caryopteris Clandonensis " Blue Mist". We've had one in our North Shore garden for about 25 years, but it appears to be dying. I haven't been able to locate this variety in local plant stores. Has anyone seen it around?

This place is listed for it in The Plant Locator - Western Region (2004, Black-Eyed Susans/Timber, Portland), which also notes that blue mist is used as a common name as well. In addition, the book states it is possible 'Blue Mist' is being used for seed-raised stock rather than a uniform, clonal cultivar.
