    hi all,

i am looking for a plant that will cover my fence nicely..

i'm just starting my first garden and i don't know alot about different types of plants. Could anyone tell me a type of plant that might suit?

I would like a climbing plant that will cover my fence. It should be fast growing, have small to medium sized leaves, be green, and it may or may not have flowers. if it has flowers, they shouldn't have pollen that plays up with sinuses.. or attract to may bees.

the spot where they will grow is shady in the morning and afternoon, full sun during the middle of the day. one section i would like to plant then is in full sun until late afternoon. about four weeks ago i had the sandy soil upturned and alot of horse manure mixed in to refresh the soil.

can anyone give any suggestions? thanks :)

Although it's certainly possible somebody else may respond here with relevant information later, an Australian gardening web site, locally targeted gardening books and magazines might be best for helping you choose plants for your area.

I can offer the generally appropriate suggestion to apply organic materials as mulchs in future, rather than digging them in, when planting anything bigger, more permanent than annuals and vegetables.
