Lonicera maackii

    What is this tree?

    The tree pictured below is very common in the woods in Indiana. During the past few weeks, these trees have developed bright red berries that grow in clusters around the base of the leaves' stems. The trees are fairly short, usually standing only a few feet high and usually no more than about eight or ten feet high. If someone could help me identify this plant, it would be much appreciated.

    p.s. -- On the forum board, I asked if this was spicebush, but I don't believe that's correct.

    This looks like Lonicera maackii (Amur honesuckle). Check out this link to Vanderbilt University, but I must say that your posted images of this species are much better than anything I've seen on the web.
