I've attached 3 pictures (can't seem to embed them in this forum?) - of a mysterious plant that showed up in my veggie garden this year. It was the only thing that grew well...

To try and describe - it's quite tall - at least 5', long stems with spines/spikes all over them. The flower is a cone shaped flower - very spiky/spiny - with pink flowers that don't all come out at once but seem (it started in the very centre about 3 days ago) to come out one or 2 rows a day, fall off then the next outer row comes out and repeats.

The leaves are serrated...with spins on the underside as well.

The bees seem to love it - and if it's a native plant and non toxic - I plan on saving the seeds for next year and planting up in the back 40....

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for helping so quickly!

I've just learned it's on the invasive plants list - and now I will deal with it accordingly...
