Hello to all the on UBC Botanical Garden Forums, I'm a Med Lab student at UBC doing a directed studies project on the plant Mahonia nervosa aka dull oregon grape. I would like to know specific locations where it may be possible for me to collect the plant, or stores local to Vancouver where I may buy the plant. Thanks in advance to any replies!
Two other suggestions: 1) check out the native plant suppliers list on the Native Plant Society of BC web site. 2) search in the UBC Herbarium database (when it's up and running, which it isn't at the moment) -- this will give you some very specific localities. However, at a minimum, without a permit you'll need to avoid parks and private property.
