Local Park Plant ID #2

    These are plants I found in a local park. Right now I am trying to learn edible plants in the area to cut back food costs. I would really appreciate ID's, thank you :)

    I'm inclined to say no, but they may be salad-additions that I don't use.

    Also, find out if any of these are endangered flora? If the deer don't eat it maybe We shouldn't too? The local forest services may have a record on these plants. Good Luck!

    Many species of asters, look at references covering Iowa to see which occur there.

    Just another note: it may be illegal to harvest plants from local parks. Check the regulations and bylaws in your area.
