Identification: Liverwort or Hornwort?? ID, please.

This plant is about 15 cm in length and is growing on a rotten stump (probably Broadleaf maple) in a ravine park in Abbotsford.

 

Lichen, Cladonia sp.

 

Agreed - you have a lovely Cladonia (Pixie lichen) there, possibly more than one.

 

Thank you both. I will label it as a Cladonia cornuta lichen

 

C. cornuta is unlikely given the habitat. Not possible to ID from photo however if you put Cladonia coniocraea, that would be a logical possibility.

 

Who am I to argue! Cladonia coniocraea okay.
