Can anyone please help me to identify this very distinctive plant found growing in abundance on a pebbly beach in the Canary Islands? Thanks Pho
Something in the family Asteraceae . . . which narrows the choice down to just a few thousand species . . .
The fleshy leaves and spent flowers make me think Senecio . . . . which narrows the choice down to about a thousand . . . . Check out Senecio leucanthemifolius
Thank you both very much indeed. I have checked it out and am fairly confident it is S leucanthemifolius. There are only about eight Senecio species recorded in Fuerteventura and this is one of them. This forum is truly magnificent. 30 minutes and a response from the other side of the world with an identification that really had me stumped. Pho
