In The Garden: Little purple flowers, brownish leaves (low growing?)

Hi, these little plants just starting popping up in my grass which I noticed about a week or so ago. I'm assuming they are a weed but I want to see if anyone can help me determine what they are since I've never seen anything like them. Thank you!

Thank you!!I guess that was an easy one? :) Is this a weed, I want to remove it from my grass patch. This is certainly the first I've ever seen of it and I didn't even put grass seed down last year or the year before.
