Identification: "Little" Prince's Pine near Stevens Pass

    This looks like evergreen huckleberry to me but am not certain. Could not find any larger plants, just these little tiny seedlings. Leaves are opposite. Photographed in mountains near West Fork Miller Creek, in Mt Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, WA.

    Reminds me of Morella gale (formerly Mryrica gale), similar to some photos I've looked but not all.

    Compare against Chimaphila. These may be as tall as they get.

    Wow thanks Daniel! I've seen a lot of the common prince's pine but did not even realize there was a "little" prince's pine!
    Exciting to see something new!
