Identification: Little plants from the Fernie area

    Someone sent me these photos from the Fernie, East Kootenay area, with a comment that the image of the plant is at least 10 times bigger than its actual size. What is it?

    A Carex of some sort, ca. 150 taxa in the province, usually identified by fruiting characteristics.
