I want to say this is C. macilenta but not certain... found growing on a log near West Fork Miller River in the Mt Baker Snoqualmie National Forest, WA.
Not certain - it is a partial match to a few red apothecia'd Cladonias. The branching, shade of green and squamules on the podetia are not a great match for C. macilenta.
Ah - yes I can see that. Perhaps C. bellidiflora or C. cristatella? I don't see any other similar species that have been documented in King County. Looking at the squamules (leaf like scales) it seems C. bellidiflora is the best match.
We have at least 10 red-apothecia Cladonias in this region, most of which have much smaller apothecia than that in your photo. So yes C. bellidiflora is likely but not the only possibility. C. cristatella is more of an east coast sort of thing: Reports of that species from our region are likely misidentifications.
