Linaria purpurea - purple spike flower for bees and humm birds

    i think I’ve asked previously - I searched herein - can you help me identify this “weed”

    It is in bloom now at the Vancouver BC coast

    The bees and humm birds love it

    It Seeds freely but not in a bad way (it’s easy to weed out if one must )

    I’ll attach pix ... thank you in advance

    Thank you Ron B ... much appreciated

    In addition to the fact that it’s appealing to bees and hummingbirds — AND easy to grow tho not overly invasive ... it ALSO does well w our wet winter and very dry summers (I don’t water the garden or lawn because we have restrictions which I don’t mind at all)

    Native to Italy, so no surprise it takes well to hot dry summers and mild wet winters.
