I think de plant in the attached photos is a Linaria. But I don't find the subspecies... Can anyone help me on this? Beste regards, José Carlos Quental
Hmm! I am not even sure it is Linaria. It is not Linaria triornithophera. The flowers on that are rather large, maybe 2" long, and rather spectacular.
http://fotosdeferrol.blogspot.com/2011/08/paxarinos.html Firstly his is still in the bud stage of development and secondly they're highly variable in size and color.
There are other photos with flowers in different stages of development. Even with 'old' flowers. And all of them are very similar. The photos were taken in February in Portugal (São Macário - Viseu). Best regards, José Quental
This plant may represent a cleistogamous/depauperate form of L. triornithophora. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleistogamy http://www.jstor.org/stable/2466891
