I need a little help with the identification of a lily or wildflower which has not flowered yet but probably will in the next few days. It has a very unique leaf - I was told that it was a Throne or Sawtooth Lily which I cannot find in the guide I am using. I have attached a picture. The plant is in Neck Point Park in Nanaimo and the picture was taken today - March 16, 2008.
    Thanks for any help proferred,
    Robin Bodnaruk

    Hi Ron B.,
Erythronium seems right - It appears to be like the Erythronium oregonum (Oregon fawn lily) - does that sound right. Thanks ., Robin

Yup. Interesting genus. The eastern North American species is sometimes called "trout lily".
