Lily for identification.

    Please identify. This is a common type. I was given a small clump four years ago, and keep it contained by digging a trench around the clump.

    It is indeed the common type....Hemerocallis fulva. Unless you need a large space consuming drift of Daylilies, I would consider replacing it with a better behaved species or named variety of Daylily, there are thousands to choose from.
