    Hi!

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with my lilac bush in my front flower bed.

I bought my house last spring... it had been painted the summer before and to facilitate the painting the old owners cut the lilac bush back to ground level. It's come back nicely this year, but what i'm wondering, is if i can prune this bush to be more of a tree shape?
I've googled the heck out of it and can't seem to find an answer, or instruction.

    Thanks so much!
    Christy
ps... I can post pictures later if that will help??

I shall add that they can be finnicky if you prune them. Also, give them some lime in the spring. Throw a
couple handfuls down around its base.
