    Hi House,

Looooove the fruiting bodies - very impressive!

I'm embarrassed to think how long it has been since I've seriously worked on a lichen identification, but my first thought was that the last time I worked on getting a Hypogymnia to species, one of the characters I needed to know with my specimens was the internal thallus colour. If you have a lichen field guide, I'd suggest taking a look at the description of both of those species and see if there are some less visually obvious characters of that sort that might help differentiate.

    cheers!
