Appreciation: Lichen along river bank in Southern England

    Thought I would post this we saw whilst walking along the bank of the River Itchen in Hampshire England this morning. There was whole swathes of Lichen covering sadly many dead trees.
    But the silvery glint in the morning sun was quite beautiful.

    Wow that is serious coverage! Sad for the trees, but the lichen look super happy :-)

    Yes, in nature there are always winners and losers. But both equally beautiful. Agreed @Frog it looks very happy !!!
