I know the frond on the right is that of a Leyland Cyprus, But is the one on the left that of a more mature tree?
    Thanks in advance.

The smaller green frond looks like a western red cedar to me. The larger whitish frond looks like a juniper. Is it sharp and prickly?

Left is one of the juvenile-foliage cultivars of Sawara Cypress Chamaecyparis pisifera, right is Western Redcedar Thuja plicata.

PS Cyprus is a Mediterranean island, cypress is a tree ;-)

Cultivars of Thuja plicata are much used for hedging in your district. You can even see some hedges of it along the freeway.
