My lemon tree is 3 years old and this is actually it's first time it has so many tiny lemons on it ( ~2 dozens). However, recently, I've noticed that one lemon turned brown-black and fell off without getting into mature stage. Obviously, something went wrong. I'm afraid all lemons will behave in the same way. How can I save my lemons? It would be upsetting to loose them.

thank you in advance for help

Atevs, in all probability you have done nothing wrong. It is very normal for lemons, and in fact, all citrus varieties to drop most of the small fruitlets that originally set. Your lemon tree will only retain and mature 2 to 5 percent of the fruitlets. I'm not sure where Gilbertsville is, but if the tree is growing in a container, be sure not to let the medium become to dry at this time, however, also do not over water the container. Wait until the top 2 inches of soil becomes dry before watering again. When you water the tree water it well, so that about 20 percent of the irrigation water drains out the bottom holes. Water stress is a MAJOR cause of bloom/fruit drop at this time. Take care. - Millet

atevs Give your tree time to grow. For the most part this natural for citrus to do this. For me growing Myers Lemons has been a little frustrating. Yet on the other hand I have a Eureka Lemon tree that does very well
