Thanks to all those who's expertise and experience was graciously given to help with my lemon tree. Back in May I was concerned about the overall health of this lemon and it's since rebounded nicely. Many of the older cold weather stressed leaves have fallen, giving way to plenty of fresh new growth. Temps are forecast to be about 85 - 90F this week. This should help envigorate more new growth. Any advise about watering during this time? I usually keep a faily close eye on it for signs of stress. Cheers, LPN.
Hi LPN, It's looking much better! Do check the pot to be sure the roots will have enough room. With the new growth the roots may be filling that pot. Newt
The tree does look nice. Newt, could have a point. The container does seem a bit limited, for the size of the tree. Check the root system to see if it is time to up pot. Congratulations on a job well done. - Millet
Thanks Millet & Newt ... container size hadn't even crossed my mind since it seemed to be improving so well. At one point a while back I was considering planting the lemon in-ground, with protective measures for winter. Humm??? Cheers, LPN.
Hi, what variety of Lemon is it? Did you try to put it in the ground? Have you have any fruit on the container tree? I would like to give it a try in the Okanagan. Thanks Payi
This was a seed grown lemon, yes "was" is the correct term. I planted it and killed it, dead to the root tips! Fried at -6 celcius. Cheers, LPN.
