Hi i'm new to this forum. I've just received a lemon tree for my birthday and am on a mission to find out how to care for it. It's currently in pot, has four juicy looking lemons on it, lots of buds and a few flowers. I live in London and the weather's not too good at the mo so i'm keeping it indoors.

I'd be very grateful for any general tips on how to care for my tree.

Also, i'm a bit worried as since i've got it a few leaves have fallen off, is this normal?

    Thanks! Kath

If the tree is receiving sunlight through a southern window, be sure to keep the container's potting soil at least at a temperature of 64F+, 70F is better. Soil temperature control plus proper watering should stop any leaf drop. Water *ONLY* when the top two or three inches of the growth medium feel rather dry. Fertilize at least once a month from March through September. Keep an eye out for mealy bugs and scale. Read, read, and then read some more, the threads on this and other citrus forums. - Millet

Hi Millet. Thanks for your help, I've been keeping it outside during the day as the weather's been good- and the leaf drop seems to have stopped.
    Thanks again, Kathy
