I have continual problems with our 4 yr. old lemon tree. New growth curls and the larger leaves are mishaped with yellow spots (pictures attached). I have done research and see some similarity to citrus leafminer but not entirely. Any thoughts?

I do not see any leaf miner trails. Have you sprayed with anything lately?

Leaf minors will leave trails in the leaves which I do not see. I agree with Skeet, have you sprayed the tree with anything else ?

i thought it might not be leaf miners because i didn't see any trails and no insects on the bottom of the leaves. the tree has been sprayed with regular miracle grow liquid fertizler, the last time being about 3-4 weeks ago. i also added ironite to the soil about 6-8 wks ago. i am currently attempting to increase the watering. but the tree hasn't changed yet.

When you sprayed with miracle grow, is there any chance that sprayer had been used for weed killer?

No, it's one of those liquid MG hose end sprayers. Really tired of paying a king's ransom for lemons.

It looks to me like the effect of a herbicide. Is there any possibility of spray drift? My wife would not believe me when I told her that the weed killer she was spraying was going to get my tomatoes 8-10 ft away, but she saw the results a few days later. Spray drift can carry a long way if it is windy.

Yes, glyphosphate drift can cause some of the
symptoms we are seeing in this Lemon but
there are other factors as well that may be
going on here. I'd want to know which Lemon
this is, who was the grower of this plant and
where is this tree being grown.

The curling of the new growth can be caused
by a Mite such as Broad Mite.
