Can this variety handle full sun? It's in a container and it's been 90 degrees the past 3 days. I've been watering it almost every day. It's in a bark potting mix. I noticed leaves curling on my Acer. Thanks.

According to growers/sellers such as Confier Kingdom (irony) they can take full sun. Virtually every red leafed variety can. Many variegated, such as Butterfly, Higasayama and even Ukigumo can take full sun as well.

Relative humidity matters more than temperature, but people often ignore pot temperatures as roots must stay below 95F, which can become a problem in a pot. Stick a meat thermometer probe in the pot, near or even at the wall and elsewhere and see what the root temperatures indeed are. Then water more frequently, cover the pot, move it, etc., = do what ever it takes to keep the root temperature beflow 95F. I actually think this will cure your problem.
