Leafy plant I.D.

    This site is great! My first post:

    This plant looks very familiar to me, but I can't place it. It popped up as a volunteer from where my compost pile had been.

    Anyone recognize it?

    Interesting - peltate and palmate leaves. Does the plant have any smell to it when the foliage is crushed (you may want to wear a glove for this test)?

    Not sure about the smell - I will check when I get home from work tonight.

    Also, the leaves have a thick, smooth feel, as if they had a wax coating.

    One of the large geraniums such as G. maderense.

    Gosh, that looks pretty spot on! The mystery now is how the heck it got there. But I'll take it without complaint, I look forward to seeing some of those gorgeous blooms. :)
