    Hi all,

Didn't know where to post this thread, but I purchased 6 yards of leaf compost of late, and I thought about making a raised garden bed out of it.

There is no animal manure in this compost, but it does have an odor to it, although the product looks practically like dirt. The compost is still warm - meaning that it is probably still composting. If I fill my raised bed with compost only, can I mix some potting soil in and around the vegetable plants to protect them? Does this sound doable?
