This plant is growing in a few small patches around the yard. I actually don't mind it much because it stays low and green, even in this drought.

The flowers make me think it is in the Fabaceae (pea) family, but I am not really sure. I should mention that it grows in southern Ohio in full sun.

    Any ideas?

It can be Lespedeza striata or Japanese clover which is a member of Fabaceae family. Flowers from June to October.

I would love to see it on my lawn, too.

That must be it! Thanks! I am a little bummed out (although not surprised) that it is yet another invasive.
